Award-winning product innovations at Interzum

For the first time, the CLASSEN Group is participating in Interzum, the world's leading trade fair for furniture manufacturing and interior design. No less than two product innovations from the family-owned company are in the running for the prestigious interzum award, which will be presented at the trade fair on May 8, 2023. CLASSEN is celebrating its premiere at the trade fair with a stand construction concept that makes the leitmotifs of the wall and floor covering manufacturer - sustainability and uniqueness - tangible in Cologne from May 9 to 12.

Unique and quick to uninstall

The custom-built stand in Hall 1.2 can be set up and dismantled in modules and thus individually adapted to the circumstances of different trade fair and presentation events. In addition, trade fair visitors can get an impression of the CLASSEN Group's capabilities on 420 unique floorboards. The digitally printed CERAMINⓇ individual planks are not only robust but also 100 percent recyclable. Thanks to easy de-installation, the entire surface can subsequently be reused or completely recycled.

CLASSEN is already using the new modular stand construction concept at BAU in Munich. Just a few weeks later, the stand will be slightly larger at Interzum (145 square meters). The exhibition segment "Materials & Nature" is tailor-made for CERAMINⓇ: "We have developed the patented material with great passion, which not only impresses with its extraordinary product properties, but above all with its sustainability approach.

CERAMIN® nominated for interzum award

CERAMINⓇ consists mainly of natural mineral filler and polypropylene (PP). In turn, more than 65 percent of the plastic content is made up of recycled materials. This makes the floor and wall coverings healthy for living, 100 percent recyclable and a sustainable alternative to PVC flooring, ceramic tiles and natural stone. Thanks to their robustness (service class 34 / AC6), CERAMINⓇ floors are suitable not only for commercial and residential applications, but also for trade fair and store construction with a significantly higher intensity of use. In addition, they are resistant to moisture and very easy to clean. These properties also impressed the expert jury of the interzum award. The award honors products that impress with regard to the value-added factors of design, sustainability and innovation. These are precisely the aspects that apply to the CERAMINⓇ Tiles collection, which has already proven itself on the market.

Each plank is unique

Visitors to the trade show will be impressed not only by the robustness of the CERAMINⓇ floors installed at the booth, but above all by the fact that we have made a point of ensuring that no two planks are alike. The design of the floors, which is created using a digital printing process, is based on domestic wood species. The floor of the Interzum trade fair stand could thus be equipped with 420 unique planks. This demonstrates the efficiency and attention to detail of our colleagues in the design department.

XXL and ultra-light: CERAMINⓇ Tiles

CERAMINⓇ Tiles is a completely new category of tiles. They are ultra-light, robust and ideally suited for bathroom renovation or refurbishment. They are also available with an extensive range of different decors and formats. Despite their size of 2.55 × 1.20 meters, the XXL decors weigh up to 60 percent less than conventional ceramic tiles. This means they can be laid by one person alone. This makes CERAMINⓇ Tiles particularly attractive for DIY enthusiasts and craftsmen. At the booth, visitors can experience all the technical advancements of the new CERAMINⓇ generation on the basis of the new "Nuva" collection. In addition to an embossed bevel in the wear layer, Nuva is characterized above all by its XL formats.

These and other innovations can be experienced at the CLASSEN Group stand B021 in Hall 1.2 at Interzum from May 9 to 12.
